Overview
If you find yourself wandering through Wellington and craving a hearty, satisfying meal, Skillets - Wellington - Wellington Trace is an absolute must-visit. Located at 13860 Wellington Trace A10, Wellington, FL 33414, United States, this cozy diner has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. From the moment you step inside, the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it clear that this isnβt just another restaurant-itβs a place where meals are crafted with care, and every dish tells a story.
Walking in, I was immediately drawn to the menu, which offers an impressive variety of skillets, each carefully designed to satisfy different tastes. The portions are generous, and the presentation makes it hard not to snap a quick photo before digging in. On my first visit, I tried their breakfast skillet, loaded with perfectly scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes, sautΓ©ed peppers, and a generous portion of melted cheese. Every bite was a balance of flavors and textures, and the freshness of the ingredients really stood out. For those who love variety, thereβs also a lunch and dinner skillet selection featuring meats like chicken, beef, and shrimp, paired with a medley of seasonal vegetables and flavorful sauces.
One thing that sets this spot apart is the attention to detail in cooking methods. The chefs use cast-iron skillets to lock in flavor and maintain the perfect texture for every ingredient. This method isnβt just a gimmick-itβs rooted in culinary science. Cooking in cast iron distributes heat evenly, retains warmth longer, and even enhances the taste of certain dishes. I noticed how the potatoes had a golden, crispy exterior while remaining soft inside, a result only achievable through proper skillet cooking. Research from culinary institutes confirms that cooking in iron can also add trace amounts of iron to your diet, subtly enhancing the nutritional value of meals.
Another standout element is the level of service. The staff at Wellington Trace genuinely know the menu and are happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences. On my second visit, I asked for a lighter skillet option, and the server suggested a combination of grilled chicken, spinach, and roasted vegetables. It wasnβt on the regular menu, but they prepared it promptly, showing their flexibility and dedication to guest satisfaction. Such personalized attention is a hallmark of reputable establishments and demonstrates a strong commitment to quality dining experiences.
Customer reviews often highlight the consistency and freshness of the food. Many diners mention that each visit delivers the same high standard, whether itβs a weekend brunch or a weekday lunch. Local food bloggers have noted that Wellington Traceβs skillets are among the best in Palm Beach County, emphasizing both taste and presentation. In my experience, itβs rare to find a place that balances affordability with quality so well, and itβs clear why Skillets - Wellington - Wellington Trace has garnered such positive word-of-mouth attention.
For families, friends, or solo diners, this location also offers a comfortable environment with ample seating and a casual vibe. The interior is bright and cheerful, and the layout encourages relaxed conversation without feeling cramped. Even on busy weekends, the service remains attentive, and the food is delivered promptly, reflecting excellent kitchen coordination.
Visiting this diner multiple times, Iβve come to appreciate not just the food but the overall experience-the way the staff remembers regular guests, the attention to plating, and the variety in menu offerings. Itβs the kind of place that invites you to return, whether for a quick breakfast, a leisurely brunch, or a filling dinner. If youβre in Wellington and want a meal that combines flavor, freshness, and a touch of local charm, this spot delivers every time.

The food right here is EXCELLENT. I had the sunrise Benedict and that was a delight. Service was immaculate and Paul was amazing. Definitely coming back. 5/5
The manager on duty 11.28.25 early am was incredibly kind to me and my son when we rode there on our bikes. Sorry I don't know his name but he greeted us with a smile and was great throughout our interaction. He treated us with respect and kindness. The food was quick and came out as expected. Waitress was attentive, friendly and fast. Overall a good experience. Will definitely be going back. Thank you to a great staff for a wonderful experience. Place is very clean as well.
We had such a great experience at Skillets Breakfast and Lunch! The food was fresh, delicious, and served piping hot. Everything from the omelets to the pancakes tasted homemade and full of flavor. Our server, Richard, was absolutely fantastic friendly, attentive, and on top of every detail. He made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down and checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. Itβs so nice to find a place that combines great food, great service, and a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Weβll definitely be back!
This was my 1st visit to Skillets. Richard, our server, was very attentive, thorough and extremely polite. Richard was efficient and very pleasant to talk with. Richard took our order and followed up with care and made our group feel welcomed to Skillets. Richard deserves EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR!!! 5βββββ
Being avid breakfast lovers, we looked at the menu on line before choosing to eat here. The menu is large with breakfast and lunch options, so we were excited to try. Our server Mia was courtesy and sweet. I of course started with a mimosa, they give you a small champagne bottle and a half a glass of orange juice. My husband ordered a Belgian waffle, chicken sausage and hashbrowns, he said it was very basic. I ordered a bacon, avacado, tomato omelet, with a side of grits and a biscuit. The omelet was tasty and enough to find two people. The biscuit was really dry and no amount of jelly or butter could save it. But the star here is the stone ground grits with cheese. Creamy and thick at the same time, with a layer of broiled cheese on top. Honestly, I would come back for that. All in all I would say everything was pretty basic. We left with the thought, we'd come back as they do have a large menu to try.
My family and I received excellent service. The food was delicious β the pumpkin scone is a must! Everything was perfect. P.S. Isabela gave my father outstanding service and made sure his mimosas were always perfect.
